The real reason I live in Vermont.

From the Rutland Herald’s Vt. named No. 1 in Brewers Association rankings:

According to the Brewers Association, Vermont has one brewery for every 33,000 residents, making it No. 1 on the list.

And damn it if don’t feel true too. Between Long Trail, Otter Creek, Magic Hat, Harpoon, Switchback, Rock Art, McNeil’s, and Orlio, not to mention all the restaurant breweries that don’t bottle their beers, like the Alchemist and American Flatbread, the state of Vermont is simply awash in artisan brews.

Oh, and we got lots of good cheese too.
