From the Rutland Herald’s House committee approves gay marriage bill:

Seven Democrats on the committee were joined by a single Republican in approving the bill, which comes after more than a week of testimony. The bill is expected to be debated on the floor of the Vermont House Thursday and Friday.

Unfortunately, I’m ashamed to say that our representative from Poultney, Rep. Andrew Donaghy (R), voted against the gay marriage bill. His vote was no surprise, since Rep. Donaghy does whatever the governor wants him to do, but still, it’s a damn shame.

And it gives us even more reason to vote his ass out of office next time. Now we just have to find a progressive individual who’s willing to run against him.
