From Vermont Freedom to Marry’s H.178 Civil Marriage Bill: “Fifty-nine members of the Vermont House have introduced a bill to end the exclusion of same-sex couples from legal marriage, while affirming the constitutional right of clergy people to refuse to perform marriages against their religious beliefs….With fifty-nine co-sponsors on this bill, we’re just 16 votes shy of the total needed to pass the bill in the House!” [Hat tip to Lindsey for the link]
