President Bush and his administration have known for over 3-4 years that this economic collapse was gonna occur. I find it very strange that this is occurring less than 45 days before a Historic election. My experience as elected official, politician and as campaign strategist tells me this is a republican strategy. The republicans’ strategy is to scare Americans into voting for John McCain the self pro-claimed maverick for change. I find it very funny that John McCain was so eager to run back and fix the situation himself. This strategy failed John McCain. The campaign strategists running John McCain campaign are all from George Bush’s 2000 & 2004 campaigns. If you remember in those campaigns George Bush’s strategist used the FEAR and more FEAR tactic. I’m sad to say after seeing the recent polls in which Obama has 6 to 8 points leads it apparent that voters have caught on to the Republicans Fear campaign.

You are giving them way too much credit. Having this happen makes it harder for the house republicans and because this happened on a republican’s watch it should make it easier for the Obama campaign (I have heard McCain has voted with bush 90% of the time)

    Speaking of conspiracy theories…

    Have you heard about this:

“Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.”

Again, this is all conspiracy theory, but it’s a little scary to hear this when:
    a) The Bush Administration is ratcheting up its scare tactics on the economy
    b) There’s supposed to be an election in 33 days
    c) The Bush family has already been involved in an attempted coup, when Prescott Bush and others tried to get a Marine Corps Major General to take over the country and adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini
    d) You can’t put anything past Dick Cheney

I know it’s all scary conspiracy theory…but still.
