Spicy Grilled Jerk Chicken Wings

Here is the second installment of Stumpy’s Pigskin Recipe. I had these last week and they were awesome. I actually made more than this, about 5 lbs of chicken, but there were six guys eating them and frankly, I don’t think you have that many friends. So I made this version be enough for the two or three people that you actually hang out with…and that includes your spouse.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 habanero pepper, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Juice of a lime
  • Juice of a lemon
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 5 teaspoons ground Allspice (it’s in the spice aisle, but you can also make a poor man’s version of it by combining equal parts nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

Just put ingredients in a blender and puree. When it’s done, pour it over the chicken and let it marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Start your grill, and then 30 minutes before kickoff, slap those suckers on the grates.

Maybe if we made our “man friends” food we would be popular like you. I can see it now a bunch of guys sitting on a couch watching the game, Shawn in a kitchen apron serving them food.
