One of the most ambitious experiments ever conceived got successfully underway today , with protons being fired around a 27-kilometer (17-mile) tunnel deep beneath the border of France and Switzerland in an attempt to unlock the secrets of the universe.
After reading this article I got a little scared. Why?
“Skeptics, who claim that the experiment could lead to the creation of a black hole capable of swallowing the planet, failed in a legal bid to halt the project at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.”
All I can see is next summer’s blockbuster starring Will Smith. Does anyone else feel panic?

Shawn…you may be right.
but probably wrong. The collision that they are replicating occurs everyday in our atmosphere. It has done this for billions of years and has not created any type of black hole.
what happens if it creates a brown hole?
during the manhattan project there was a fear that once the first atom was split, it would start a chain reaction and divide all the atoms of the universe… man Einstein was an idiot liv
