Okay folks, as you can see, Fluid Imagination nows has advertising. I did it for two reasons. First, I just had to renew the domain name and hosting account for the website, and it took a sizable chunk out of the ol’ bank account. And while keeping all you chowederheads informed about the whys and wherefores of the world is just too damn important to let a little thing like money stay in my way, the truth of the matter is that any bit of income helps.
The second reason is for professional reasons. As some of you may know, I work in marketing. Since Google AdSense is pretty much the dominant monster in the world of online marketing, it only makes sense for me to try to understand it a little better, and what better way than to play around it with in the sandbox of Fluid Imagination?
Granted, there’s more to AdSense than just publishing ads on your site — i.e., the whole “buying ads” side of the equation — but even if I don’t get that far at the moment, I’ll still be more informed than I am now.
So, we have ads now. Don’t be afraid to click on the ones that interest you.

for a person who always say not to - sell out to the Man - wow! Becoming a realist. I like it. Welcome to Maturity….
We’ve had ads on Fluid Imagination before (remember? for iTunes and Netflix and Amazon?). But when I changed over from the three-column to the two-column design, we lost our available space.
Also, every link to an Amazon page (say, in a book review) is actually an “ad,” in that Fluid Imagination receives a commission on anything you purchase. Of course, in the three or four years since this has been true, I’ve yet to make enough money ($10) for Amazon to send me a commission check:-)
For Google, I’ll have to make $100 before they send me the check. But if it works out, that’ll pay for all my yearly fees for running this site.
