From CNN’s Too broke to be your maid of honor: “The TV no longer sits on a moving box, but she’s still using filing cabinets as end tables. Desiree Jacobsen graduated from college years ago, so why does her apartment resemble a dorm room? It’s hard to save for the finer things when you’ve had to shell out money to be in five weddings in one year, three times as maid of honor.”

i’m going to be a groomsmen in less than a month & it has cost me a $300.00 plane ticket, $45 for shoes, $40 for shirt & about $80 for pants. I still don’t know what I’m going to do about present & we (groomsboys) are planning something low key for bachelor party. i think i got away with little to nothing on the spending, but still, that is little to nothing i do not have to spend :)
on the flip side, we are not planning on having any bridesmaids or groomsmen, you think people would be happy about that unrequired expense, but so far no one seems to get it. whatever. you add all those people and you add a lot of extra stress.
here’s to eloping. :)
There’s still that expense of getting our asses to Alaska :-)
Yeah. I know right. That’s pretty ridiculous. Andy and I got our tickets up this summer with our Alaska Airlines credit card. If you have one, they give you a companion fare ticket each year, fly somewhere and get the second ticket for $50. That REALLY helps. And airline miles.
I’m sorry Alaska is the BFE of America. :)
P.S. unrelated, but the twitter side bar is acting really wierd. does anyone else notice that?
