From Ars Technica’s Senate slams FCC newspaper/TV cross-ownership rule: “This is one of those very rare moments when a question of broadcast regulation has a shot of becoming a national election issue. It almost never happens. But it could now, if the House passes Inslee’s resolution and Bush vetoes the law. No doubt Democratic Presidential contender Barack Obama and perhaps rival Hillary Clinton would welcome a veto override showdown. If it gets that far, we’ll also find out how much the likely Republican nominee, John McCain, is willing to run against the White House.”
