From Rutland Herald’s Vermont lost 2,000 jobs last year: “New labor figures for Vermont may demonstrate the first effects of the national economic slowdown and the aging of the state’s workforce. The number of people employed in the state declined by about 2,000…over the last year, and the labor force — the number of Vermonters employed or looking for work — dropped by 1,300.”
