Happy Birthday, Brother Man

Brendan_Callahan.jpg

Happy 34th birthday, Brendan.

Here’s a fun fact for you. If you started elementary school the day after you graduated from high-school, you’d be a junior right now. I don’t know why, but when I look at the number 34, that’s what I think. You’re seventeen years older than you were at seventeen. Huh.

It took you some time, sir, but now you’re doing your thing and doing it well. You’ve got a woman who loves you, a job you enjoy, friends you can trust, and family that’s always willing to get together to have a few beers. You live in a beautiful town in a beautiful apartment not more than four minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, and you spend your weekdays trying to make a city of 50,000 people have more respect for their environment.

And to top it all off, you still have a smile on your face.

You’re doing your thing, sir, and doing it well.

Happy birthday, big brother.

I wanted to get my Happy Birthday comment in before the shit-storm begins - were someone is giving Bren a hard time about SOMETHING and Shawn makes a comment about how he’s “left out”.

Happy Birthday, Bren! Celebrate like a 17 year old (well, at least with the vigor of a 17 year old).

That’s right it should be all about me. Happy Birthday Dano! When you getting married?

As Kyle stated, Dano is doing his thing and doing it well. Which means not conforming to societal norms - including the one Shawn’s talking about.

    ;)

    Happy Birthday Old Dude.

Happy Birthday! Thirty four years ago today - it just doesn’t seem possible. You have taken us on quite a trip - and it is so great to see you accomplishing your goals. Hope you have a great day and can I still see you as that 8 pound 15 ounce little papoose in the nursery! Love MOM

I agree with everyone and I am really surprised at the lack of shitstorming in the early hours of this accolade. (Other than Shawn can’t write anything without mentioning himself.) All 6 of you are unique and we are quite proud. Has anyone heard from Darby lately?
Once again, to the recipient of the first annual “Speckled Hen” Christmas party award. Happy Birthday!

Hey, let’s not give too much credit / praise to a guy who often found joy in the merciless beating of innocent men his younger. Though I have grown up, achieved a modicum of success, and have even found a partner with which to share my joys and sorrows, not a day goes by that I don’t cringe from the painfull memories of my past

    Scene 1, Act 1

The wiffle ball bat raining down on my ass with thunderous Varsity level power: “Thhwwwaaaaap!!!!!!!!”

    Brendan: “Say it!!!!”

Me (cringing, whimpering, but stubbornly refusing to fold)

    Brendan “Say it!!!!!”

    The Bat: “Thhhwwwaaaaappppp!!!!!!”

    Me: “OOOWWWWWW!!!!”

    Brendan: “Say It, You Pansy!!!!”

Me: “thank you sir, may I have another”

Brendan: (howling with laughter) “Well, ok, if you really want me to…….”

The bat: “Thwwwaaaaapppppp!!!!!” (followed by cackling glee)

To my (and everyone’s) favorite 34 year old sadist.

Happy Birthday Brendan….. I only hope I can return the favor someday when you are 84 and in a nursing home and I’m a spry 80 with 70 years of pent up aggression in my swing.

Well- what can I say- I have to give you some shit. You can’t have a birthday without getting some shit. 34 years ago, yesterday, you were born. Holy shit, now we have two kids. We can’t afford 1, much less two. Well, we survived the 34 years without going to the poor house and Mom and I are very proud of you. Did I say that??
Well- I mean it, as we are proud of all of you. Thank good all of you as well as the Attridge boys are all unique in your own ways.
As you continue your future years, I am sure your will make all the right decisions at, hopefully, the right time.
    Keep those birthdays coming.

    Happy B’day Brendan
    Dad
