You may remember seeing a post some time ago about the Ride for Jules II, or you might remember a video post that showed Jules going through physical therapy after diabetes had taken her leg.
Well, it breaks my heart to tell you that Julie Miserandino passed away this weekend from complications due to diabetes. My heart goes out to her daughter, her two sons, her son- and daughters-in-law, her grandchildren (those who are here and those who are on their way), and to her husband, as well as to her nieces, brother, and sister-in-law.
The Miserandino and Modini families are in the thoughts and sympathies of everyone here at Fluid Imagination.
She was the inspiration for the Ride for JULES Indoor Spinathon, which benefits the American Diabetes Association. The Ride was founded in 2004 to honor and inspire Mrs. Miserandino while going through a difficult period during her battle with complications from diabetes. The Ride for JULES was the catalyst for Gold’s Gym International holding a national spinathon on March 31, 2007, which raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the ADA. Locally, the Ride for JULES has raised over $200,000 for the ADA. This year’s ride is slated for March 1 and will honor her memory.

We will always love you, Julie.
