Dave, that is by far the greatest thing I’ve seen you do. I think it perfectly summarizes your passion for music and drawing. The song is fantastic, I love that you sped it up. It actually reminds me of a song that you would hear for an independent movie trailer, where someone with a mundane voice would be narrating over it and the into would show “official selection cannes film festival”…
The painting is beautiful too. It’s a great mix of colors with buildings and little people and planets. But what I love is that you are seeing everything as a movie, although it seems as though you may have mixed up the frames a little bit. But I love that it becomes a sort of animated film in a not so typical animation sense. The zoom in is stellar.
I feel like it’s a little story about you. Or like a tiny piece of your brain….
Excellent.
Dude, I keep watching it. The fact that you started the film when the painting was already in progress, is awesome. It doesn’t come across as a tutorial, or like a beginning to end type of work.
I feel like this direction is very good for you. I don’t know if that means to extend the movie with a longer canvas so it can pan sideways too, or just to keep making shit with that same passion. But keep it up, man, I’m pumped.
All I see is a red X. :(
Stupid work computer
Dave, you are brilliant!
I watched it before you posted it and again today,
and tonight I found myself whistling the song in the shower, it’s catchy
Rock on ,
Deb
Thanks Leigh.
It looks a poop load of a lot better in the original file.
You have to compress the original video for Youtube to be able to broadcast it. This was a small enough file so I actually compressed it to full quality thinking that it would mirror the original. No such luck. It’s still a bit blurry.
There are a few more in the making.
I like the idea of extending it sideways, but, I don’t know if my mouse drawing skillz iz efficient enough to give it the same pizzaz, because, basically, I can go as far as the simple touch-ups with tracing what was already on the paper or drawing out, for the most part, basic shapes when I draw with the mouse. So. For me to add to it sideways… - Hmmm.
Let me think about it. Maybe I can make two more drawings and plop’m on the left and right sides of this and continue that way without distorting the center piece. I’m pretty sure it can be done or attempted. I’d be stepping into unchartered territory, with my particular skills, regarding Photoshop and what it is capable of. I’ll look into it. It might be tough to get rid of or mask the division lines between the three pictures. Especially at the top and bottom.

Sorry Justin. I don’t know what to say. I’m pretty sure that all of these photographs/digital-stills were saved as jpg format. Not too sure. I’m sloppy like that.
Is anyone else having a problem with viewing it?

Thanks Deb. Anything that I can do to steer you away from singing Milli Vanilli is a plus for all of those involved.
I can’t see it either, its just blank with a little mini red “x” in a box.
For those of you who can’t see it, try watching it on YouTube’s site. You can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHNJlnd95Gg.
Please let me know if there’s a problem with viewing it on Youtube as well.
I’ll shit if there is.
I’m like, yeah, check out my video, and there’s just a bunch of blank ass shit.
LAME.
Awsome, I thought it was great.
