Iranian Reveals Plan to Expand Role in Iraqs

More on the Iran thing. This is from the New York Times: “Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad outlined an ambitious plan on Sunday to greatly expand its economic and military ties with Iraq — including an Iranian national bank branch in the heart of the capital — that will almost certainly bring Iran into further conflict with American forces who have detained a number of Iranian operatives here in recent weeks.”

you know I read Justin’s comments from the last article about Iran and I think, he’s probably right, there is no way we are going to start anything with Iran, then this article pops up and its lot more aggressive in my mind…now I’d still like to think that we aren’g going to start a war with Iran, but now I have legitamite doubts.

That’s what I’m saying! As of three or four days ago, I was steadfastly in the “No way are we invading Iran” camp, but after my conversation with Brian, I’ve kept my eyes open a little more, and I’ll be damned if things aren’t ramping up a little like they did in the transition from Afghanistant to Iraq back in 2002.

Iran is a neighboring country with Iraq it is normal for them to have economic ties with them. The US will have no problem with this, it is productive. It is the destructive people that the US would have problems with.
