StumpDay is Stump Spaghetti Day! Plus…you know…Steak.

I was never a big pasta eater growing up, so I came up with this recipe, because how can a meal go wrong when you add meat to it? Hope you enjoy it. - NOW GET COOKING!

Steak & Pasta

  • 1 Lbs Skirt Steak, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of salt and pepper (each)
  • Penne pasta

Cook penne accordingly. Heat oil in a skillet and add steak and sauté about 4 minutes per side. Turn oven on to warm setting, or lowest. Place steaks in an oven safe dish and place in oven to keep warm. Now add onions and peppers to skillet and sauté until translucent. Add tomatoes, red wine, salt and pepper and bring to simmer. Simmer until sauce thickens a little, about 5 – 7 minutes, stir in any accumulated juices from steaks. Now pour sauce over steak and serve.
