As to the "any Pynchon novel" - I don't think there's anything exceedingly unfilmable about &lt;i&gt;Vineland&lt;/i&gt;.  It actually reads like a movie in a lot of ways.  Not that I'd really want to see it run up on a screen, of course, but I don't think it'd be impossible.</description>
