According to Macworld, Steve Jobs has just said, “‘Today I want to talk about adding movies to the iTunes Store and the whole iTunes-iPod experience. Today we’re starting out with films from Disney, Pixar, Touchstone and Miramax — four studios owned by Walt Disney Co.’ The service launches with more than 75 films online, starting today.” Other announcements include iTunes 7, with an integrated “cover flow view” (which I’m assuming they snagged from this third-party app). I can’t find the download just yet, but it should be released sometime in the next hour or so. Anyway, downloading movies just became a hell of a lot easier. Here’s to hoping they expand their library to rival NetFlix, and start offering rental options, instead of only purchasing ones. [Update: You can now download iTunes 7 off the Apple site].
