Apparently, I’m too slow. In the time it took me to draft and redraft my Finder article, John Kheit at the MacObserver has put together the post I was originally trying to write.
I was calling it, “This is how the Finder ends.”
He’s calling it, “Mac UI ain’t all that: The Future and History of the User Interface.”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to finish my article, except now I’m going to take out all of the extraneous stuff that was fun to research, but didn’t necessarily further my thesis, leaving me with a steady through-line from beginning to end. Perhaps having someone else do the fun stuff is exactly what I needed to get this friggin’ thing done.
It’s still coming soon.
