In response to the President Bush’s veto of the stem-cell bill, one of his supporters in the House, Representative Mike Pence, Republican of Indiana, said:
This is a profound moral issue. The issue is whether or not it is morally right to use the taxpayer dollars of millions of pro-life Americans who find this research morally objectionable.
Really? That’s the issue? How come it’s never an issue to decide whether or not it is morally right to use the taxpayer dollars of millions of anti-war Americans who find pre-emptive military strikes morally objectionable?
