World Jump Day

In an attempt to change the orbit of the planet with the hope that the “change of planetary position” will “stop global warming, extend daytime hours, and create a more homogeneous climate,” the folks over at would like everyone in the Eastern time zone to wake up around 6:30 tomorrow morning, and then, at 06:39:13, jump. Now let’s assume that it’s even possible to shift the orbit in this manner. I still have to ask, why would we want a more homogeneous climate?

I so don’t think that waking up at 6:30 a.m. is worth the sacrifice.
