We Got Him - The Remix

This year’s “We Got Him” moment: “Al Qaeda’s leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was killed in an American air strike on an isolated safe house north of Baghdad at 6.15 p.m. local time on Wednesday, top United States and Iraqi officials said today.” Wonder who we’ll get next year, since, you know, we’ll still be there and all.

insurgent: to rise - rising up against established authority - rebellious - designating or of a revolt or rebellion not well enough organized to be recognized in international law as belligerency - designating or of a faction in revolt against the leadership of a political party - a person engaged in insurgent activity…

exactly how many iraqis have died so the pentagon can hand pick little baseball card iconic figures to hold up to justify mass murder?

    who’s next?

    who replaces al-zarqawi?

will george w. bush go on vacation because of this?

so i said to myself… - “i wonder what fox news is talking about today”…

sure enough - footnotes - photos - and dialog about al-zarqawi swarm the television screen continuously… - captions such as - “turn around in iraq?” and quotes from bush - who - took some time to speak highly of the “courageous” american troops involved in the al-zarqawi operation which entailed dropping a few 500 pound bombs on a safe house where the target was said to be…

i was reminded of “the truman show”… - the scene where truman’s wife - in the kitchen - holds up some cookies or cereal or whatever and she goes off on this plastic rant about how good the product is and how you should buy it… - truman looks around and he say’s - suspiciously - “who are you talking to?”

    that’s how i feel about this…

they want you to buy it…
