Somehow I missed this back in February, but apparently William F. Buckley Jr., one of this country’s most renowned conservatives and the founder of the National Review, wrote an article where he said, “One can’t doubt that the American objective in Iraq has failed.” The rest of the article tries to figure out how to deal with that fact. It is a healthy read for all political persuasions.
