New Colors

Well, I got the colors and new logo done. There’s still a few things I can’t quite figure out. Those little gray areas at the top of the “Nifty Box” on the front page, for example. And the navigation at the top of the “single post” page is screwed up, as is the giant space between the menu and the beginning of the post. But the dude who designed this theme has a major update coming out soon, so I’m going to wait for that until I get my hands dirty in the code again.

Anyway, besides the obvious screwed-up areas, what do you guys think?

I think the format that you just changed from is a little bit better. I like to be able to scroll down and see what’s there. It makes the page feel as if it contains actual subject and not just links and “tags” and stuff. I dunno.
But the brown and blue theme on this page gives me a weird craving for a York Peppermint Pattie. Anyone else?

Dang. I forgot to do the comments section so that there’s some color to separate one comment from the next.

As for Leigh liking being able to scroll down, the next version of this theme will allow me to set how many posts appear at the top of the page (instead of the single one that’s there now). When the next version comes out (hopefully next week), I’ll probably set it so that three or four posts are at the top, so you’ll have your fun scrolling back.

As for your color remark, I’m not sure if that was a “I like it” or “I don’t like it” vote.

And Shawn, we’re working on the logo now. I don’t have the original illustrator file, though, so it could be a little rough. But now it’s out of my writer hands and into the hands of an actual designer (Josh), so I’m sure it’ll be better than whatever I did.
