So apparently some smart people have figured out the universe. I was going to try to explain it but there are no words in my head that would give it justice. But is figuring out everything a good thing? What will be left for people to look at and wonder about?
If we evolved from monkeys, is it possible that we did not evolve from the same monkeys? Like maybe there were whole bunches of monkey species that evolved the same from different parts of the world and eventually came together. And I am not talking about Neanderthals that were separated by the ice age. I mean before that. I am not sure why I wonder this but I wonder nonetheless. Anyway, these hobbit-sized people could have evolved from a different sized monkey or they could have evolved from normal size to this size because of the type of food they ate and hunted.
If I had the Internet (in the way that it is today) in high school I would have done a lot better. Just the cut and paste function would have raised my GPA. There is a new function on Internet Explorer where, if you type in a math problem, it will give you the answer. Will the Internet make people smarter or just make things easier? Kids today do have it easy. When I had to do a paper I had to go to the library and look in encyclopedias. And the library was up hill…5 miles away….
I do not understand people who like to snorkel. There are many creatures I really have no need to see in person, and they are all found in the ocean. I also do not like the fact that they have the home field advantage if I piss them off, which I have been known to do. Also the farther you go down, the freakier looking these animals get. I say leave them alone! Because chances are, if we find a lot of something, we will figure away to eat it, and then it’ll just end up on the endangered species list.
Has Christopher Walken ever turned down a movie? Kangaroo Jack? Gigli? He was in an episode of Hawaii five-0 but maybe that just interests me. I think if I sent him a script I would have a good chance of landing him.
Galaxy Quest, with Tim Allen, is a very underrated and funny movie. Forget Tim Allen, his performance is adequate at best; the supporting cast makes the movie. Alan Rickman (of Harry Potter and Dogma), Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Sam Rockwell (a shit load of movies), and Sigourney Weaver, plus weird alien people, make the movie funny as all hell. I went in thinking it was going to suck but now every time it is on TV, I find myself watching it.
Will all these movies spawning from comic books, will it make people read comic books or kill the genre entirely?
Sin City could either be a great movie or a really shitty one. The reasons it could be bad: Jessica Alba (although she could make it “good,” though not in a good movie way), Brittany Murphy, Michael Clarke Duncan. It does not have Ben Affleck, so that is a plus. The reasons it could be good: Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez are involved in creating the screenplay and directing. Plus: Benicio Del Torro and Michael Madsen (hopefully not as a card player), Elijah Wood, Nick Stahl and Josh Hartnett. The reasons I can’t decide: Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson Mickey Rourke.
